What I Believe

• Public education is the cornerstone of a healthy society, and we must continue to advocate for sustainable, predictable, fully funded education which truly meets the needs of all our students
• School boards must be accountable and responsive to all constituents
• Schools must be safe, caring, inclusive places for everyone – students, their families, staff –  where students have the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential. Early intervention is vital to supporting special needs students
• Trustees have a responsibility to model collaborative, fair, open, respectful relationships
• All students deserve equitable access to programs and services
• The Board must continue to support the Truth and Reconciliation  process and continue to promote Aboriginal understanding
